With one foot in the traditional world as a griot, the other in current musical trends with amplified rock and funky melodies, his unique way of playing the kora creates a new genre of mandingo music.
Living in France since 2008 as a singer and a master player of the West African kora, Ibrahima is a true artist, a charismatic performer and composer who hasn’t hesitated to seize opportunities that have made him a musician of uncommon talent.
He is surrounded by his faithful band, MANDINGUE FOLY, with whom he tours internationally. He has a savory cocktail of musicians:
- Abdourakhman FALL, on the bass guitar with his fantastic groove and his expertise in west African music
- Olivier Granger, on the saxophone, adds poetry to this energetic universe with his melodies
- Ousmane SEYDI on the percussions, anchors the band in the ancestral roots of African drums
- PHAM Trong-Hieu, with his modern drum set, brings the rock side with his sound and energy
